Quick update with the DFO Resizer. Pushing upto v1.1

  • Fixed the restore button. Now it restores to the exact crap-a-licious 640x480 resolution. Don't know why I care but I do things like that.
  • Added a Hide button to hide the window. You can still access from the system tray icon.
  • Added a Title Bar toggle. Yes now you can toggle your title bar and over your window.

 Download DFOresizer1.1.rar

I've had a report of Windows Vista incompatibility.  I don't have vista installed for various reasons. If enough demand comes up I'll see about getting it installed for testing.

Protip: make sure you are in window mode! //window is your friend.

Enjoy,

Arujei

update from tips and notes below:

It appears that this app does work in Win7 and Vista. A few tips that I
have seen are as follows:

Make sure you are in //window mode.
Try running as
Administrator. (Right-click and select Run as Administrator.)

So, I Finally
built a new pc Win7. Plus I fixed the issues on current PC. Now only if I could
manage my time correctly I could give DFO another run. Maybe some improvements
to this in the future. Though it does depend on which game sways me to play it
more. Aion Mabinogi been wining this battle as of late.

Thanks for the applet man. Makes things a tad nicer for a good game with a
crappy UI. Is it possible you could post the source, as that would alleviate
concerns ppl who I tell about this applet have?

Aaron: Great suggestion. I need to install it on Win7 for some testing. I should
have some free time for this when I wake up later today .

how can we trust this isnt a keylogger
Arujei   |SAdministrator |2009-10-30 20:18:55
Well that wouldn't be nice of me to do that. I release stuff I write for
myself if people trust it great enjoy it. This has gone around by word of mouth
for the most part so I leave it to everyone else to judge.

Thank you for this, using it with Vista, zero problems.

You would be surpassed only by Superman, Jesus, and Chuck Norris if you were to
implement screen filtering/smoothing the way emulators have been doing for the
past decade.

Playing DFO in 2xSai would be amazing!
Jonathan  - Windows 7 incompatibility   |24.17.232.xxx |2009-10-17 19:47:40
This program worked fine for me in Vista X64. But it's not functioning on
Windows 7 RTM X64. Damn.

Need to get myself a copy of Win7. Budget is tight at the moment so it might be
a while. I still have RC code lying around if I can find it I'll give it ago.

good program thanks

but I think //window command is better to me
Anonymous  - Well this is embarrassing.   |72.21.141.xxx |2009-11-26 09:08:54
Is there a guide to this applet? When ever I use it I see no changes
to DFO. Or it could be I'm using Vista....
Arujei  - Not your fault.   |SAdministrator |2009-11-28 20:20:19
It appears that there is an issue with Vista and Win7. Since I have neither I
can't really test it. I'm pretty sure if I can get it to work on Win7 that it
would work for Vista at the point.
FenixStryk   |74.173.176.xxx |2009-11-29 13:32:49
Very helpful, but it seems to make the game a bit blurrier than it normally is;
that's a bit of a deal-breaker.

Please make a version that is vista compatible!
Wriggle  - There is no problem with Win7.   |75.155.188.xxx |2009-12-03 09:42:08
I do not know why people have trouble with this application; this works great
with Win7.
RaccoonGoon  - Could this make a redraw problem?   |75.136.132.xxx |2009-12-08 16:20:38
So, I dled your little applet yesterday, and it did exactly what it was supposed
to, and I was pleased.

My question though, is whether or not this could be
causing me a monitor redraw problem now. I know it makes no sense, but shortly
after I used this resizer for the first time, I started getting monitor fog and
redraw issues. Rebooted and it got worse; system restored, and it failed. (Yeah,
I know, makes no sense.)

And don't get me wrong here, I'm not implying that DFO
resizer was the cause. I really have no idea what caused it, but just out of
curiosity, I figured I'd ask if it were possible.

Please make a version that works on win7
Keith  - It does work with Vista/Win7   |72.128.13.xxx |2009-12-17 15:24:54
This little app does work with Windows 7 and Vista, just be sure to run it in
Administrator mode (Right click > 'Run as administrator').

Thanks for
providing this for us, Arujei!

Try writing an app outside of VB.net, or at least update your API calls. Fails
to work with Vista 32 bit
iSOPWN  - Works on Vista   |72.189.7.xxx |2009-12-21 19:02:28
Arujei,
No worries man. It works on Vista with no problem. Some people don't
know how to get it to work because they aren't typing //window as you said to
do. Nonetheless, I'll probably make a video on how to correctly use the app.
Anyhow, Thanks man! This app kicks ass. Maybe I'll help make a GUI for you
sometime, if you want

I'm using Windows 7 and I was able to get this program to work by right-clicking
on the icon and running as Administrator. May help some of you.

It works fine on Windows 7 Ultimate
Maledar  - Fully working, great stuff   |72.144.103.xxx |2010-01-04 10:33:18
After launching the game I go and launch the DFO resizer, works great and fully
compatible with Windows XP and Windows 7 Ultimate 64x.

Thanks
