The DFOResizer has gotten a major code change. Enough to rename it. The new incarnation of this application called Bordie now allows you to use it on any game or windows program you want. Full screen applications AKA games must be running in windowed mode. It will allow you have a bordered or borderless window and stretch it to any size you see fit. At a later time I will post more information and pictures on how to use it. For now I’m off to play some FFXIV.
Basic use:
Enter the EXACT name of the window you wish to resize in the config. That includes capitalization.
When you select a resolution it will remove the boarder at the same time. If you wish to have the border click on the same resolution again or the Title bar button.
I realize this is an older post but: hi! This program exactly is something I always wanted, so I’m so happy that I stumbled on it and thank you for releasing it.
I notice that forcing a border/title bar causes additional stretching to a window, though this is a minor bug. I don’t know the technical feasibility, but two features I think would be good are:
- Option to force-minimize a window.
- Option to pick a sidebar wallpaper to maintain aspect ratio but fill a widescreen monitor; I mean as modern arcade game ports do: http://i.imgur.com/jr7cQ.jpg
Thanks for dropping a comment. I’m glad to hear that software I write helps people out. I usually these write this because something urks me to the point of needing to fix it myself.
- Option to force minimize can be easily done. I’ll add it to my to do list on the update.
- Option to pick a side bar would be a little harder to do. Though its an interesting idea. I used to play many arcade style games on my PC way back when. So I know exactly what you mean. I’ll see what I can do.

Dude, just wanted to let you know me and ALL my friends use this whenever possible.
It’s small, shuts up, and does its job.
Many many many thanks for this.
Glad to hear you guys are getting use out of it. Makes it worth the time and effort I put into making these little apps.
Could use an update. It seems to run in windows 8 consumer preview but I cannot resize the dfo window which I think is because the game was updated and now bordie does not work.
Unfortunately, I am not participating in the Windows 8 consumer preview. So I cannot check this out. If at some point I do install it, I’ll confirm the issue and see if I can correct it. The only thing I can recommend is to make sure that the Game Title field matches the new DFO game title if it has changed. Check the Title from your task bar and Task Manager Applications tab.
Bordie doesn’t work with me for DFO. When I pick the preset it’s just outlined blue until I click Play and then It isn’t blue anymore and the game ends up not resized >< I also tried typing my custom size and click Play but it doesnt work either. Any suggestions?
Copy and paste your settings file into the reply so I can get a better idea of what your current setting are.

here you go !
Hey karenvu,
Thanks for the quick reply. I been quite busy with work and life stuff happening so I haven’t checked my messages. I’m not too sure what would cause this. My current setting file when I tried it the same day I replied is as follows:
[Settings]
GameTitle=Dungeon Fighter Online
CustomW=1920
CustomH=1200
GamePath=”http://dungeonfighter.nexon.net/Default.aspx”
This worked just fine for me. Can’t think of a reason why your’s wouldn’t work. The only thing that would do this that comes to mind is that the game isn’t running in windowed mode.
Oh it was on windows but meh I don’t know.
I don’t want to bother for so long.
Thanks for replying! But I’ll take it from here by myself
If you are able to figure out what caused your issue, please post it for others that may run into this. It also could be something I can prevent.
~Thanks
